第五天 Day 5｜ 在小事上忠心 Faithful in the Little Things

經過幾天忙碌的事工和外展活動，今天我們終於有機會放慢腳步，在馨香堂一起敬拜。主日崇拜前，我們先舉行了禱告會，一同禱告，預備我們的心來敬拜和服事。我們團隊的部分成員到兒童主日學幫忙，其餘成員則參加主日崇拜。

After several busy days of outreach and ministry, today gave us a chance to slow down and worship together as a team at Aroma Church. We started with a prayer meeting before Sunday service, taking time to pray together and prepare our hearts to worship and serve. Some of our team went to help children’s church, while the rest participated in the main service.

本週日的信息為馨香堂「核心價值」系列講道劃下句點，主題是「達成卓越」，經文選自馬太福音 25:14–30，即「按才受託的比喻」。Andrew 牧師提醒我們，卓越並非在於攀比或證明自己，而是在於我們是否忠於上帝所託付給我們的一切。

對我們的宣教團隊來說，這真是一個及時的提醒。在這趟旅程中，我們常常思考自己能做些什麼、我們所做的是否足夠，以及我們究竟能帶來怎樣的影響。然而，上帝呼召我們的，是忠心把握祂放在我們手中的機會，並將結果交託給祂。

This Sunday’s message concluded Aroma Church’s sermon series on their values, focusing on “Achieving Excellence” from Matthew 25:14–30, the Parable of the Talents. Pastor Andrew reminded us that excellence is not about comparison or proving ourselves, but about our faithfulness with what God has entrusted to us.

The message was centered around three points:

1. The Beginning of Excellence: Know Your Identity and Calling, Not Comparison

2. The Process of Excellence: Overcome Fear, Take Risks, and Take Action

3. The Reward of Excellence: Be Faithful in Little, Enter into the Master’s Joy

For our mission team, this was a timely reminder. Throughout this trip, we have often wondered what we can do, whether what we are doing is enough, or what kind of impact we are making. Yet God calls us simply to be faithful with the opportunities He places in our hands and trust Him with the outcome.

講道完畢後，馨香堂為一位姊妹舉行了洗禮。這是一個美好而喜樂的提醒，讓我們再次思想我們來到這裡的意義——不僅是參與各項事工、與當地教會一同服事，更是見證上帝如何改變人的生命。我們禱告她的信仰能持續成長，也願她被充滿愛的團契所環繞，在彼此的鼓勵中持續跟隨基督。

Concluding the service was the baptism of a sister here at Aroma. It was a beautiful and joyful reminder of why we are here—not only to participate in programs and serve alongside the local church, but also to witness God transforming lives. We pray that her faith will continue to grow and that she will be surrounded by a loving community that encourages her to follow Christ.

禮拜結束後，我們參加了馨香堂每月一次的社區午餐，一起享用美食、彼此交流。我們注意到，一位之前在教會外展活動和英語會話時段（Coffee Talk）中認識的年輕女士，今天也來教會了！看見她今天來到教會，讓我們真切地感受到上帝如何透過簡單的互動成就祂的旨意。我們或許不總是知道這些時刻會帶來什麼結果，但我們可以相信，祂正以我們看不見的方式動工。

After service, we joined Aroma’s monthly community lunch, sharing food and fellowship. We noticed that a young woman we had met through outreach and Coffee Talk came to church today! Seeing her there was a testament to how God can work through simple interactions. We may not always know what comes from these moments, but we can trust that He is at work in ways we may not see.

接著，我們參加了一場關於「關係式佈道」的工作坊，學習如何透過真誠的關係、對話，以及上帝放在我們身邊、融入我們日常生活中的各種連結來分享福音。完成每日的團隊回顧後，接下來的時間終於成為我們團隊休息和恢復體力的機會。經過幾天充實的事工、外展活動，以及適應新的環境後，我們很感恩能有一些安靜的時間重新得力、充充電。

We then participated in a workshop on Relational Evangelism, learning how to share the Gospel through genuine relationships, conversations, and the everyday connections God has placed around us. After our daily debrief, the rest of the day was finally a chance for our team to rest and recover. After several full days of ministry, outreach, and getting used to a new environment, we were grateful for some quiet time to recharge.

Please continue to pray for our team as we enter the second half of our trip. Pray that we would continue to be faithful, willing, and attentive to where God is leading us. May we not focus on what we can accomplish in our own strength, but trust God with the results and enter into His joy.
