今天是為孩子們舉辦工作坊的第一天。在這一天到來之前，我一直感到十分緊張，也充滿不確定。我不知道一切是否能夠順利進行，不知道機器是否能正常運作，也擔心自己準備的巧克力是否足夠。
Today was the first day of workshops for the kids. Leading up to today, I was very anxious, very unsure of how everything would work out, how the machines will work or if the chocolate I provided would be enough.

然而，感謝神，孩子們都非常興奮，充滿學習的熱情，也願意積極嘗試，努力讓每一個環節順利完成。
But God willing, the kids were very excited to learn and to try to make all things work.

其中，在拉花課程中發生了一件令我印象深刻的事。原本我對課程有一些預期，但事情並沒有按照我所設想的方式進行。當下，我的第一個反應就是往負面的方向去想，擔心孩子們無法做出特別的作品，也無法發揮自己的創意。可是，Helen 和孩子們並沒有因此停下來。他們一起想出了另一個方法，最終仍然達到了我起初希望課程能呈現的效果。看到孩子們沒有因為遇到困難就放棄，而是願意繼續嘗試，並找到方法完成他們心中的目標，真的讓我深受啟發。
There was a moment during the latte art class where my supposed expectations for the class didn’t turn out the way I want and my mindset immediately went to the negative, that the kids won’t be able to create anything special or use any of their creativity to design anything but Helen and the kids were able to formulate a different solution to get the results I had wanted to attain during the first envisioning of the class and how I wanted it to go. It was very inspiring to see that the kids didn’t just stop because things didn’t work out but that they kept going and still found ways to attain the goal they had set in mind.

整體而言，今天對孩子們來說是一段美好的學習時光。他們不僅認識了更多有關巧克力的知識，也滿足了對巧克力的喜愛。看得出來，他們都非常享受整個課程，也很喜歡最後一起品嚐的熱巧克力。
Overall, it was a good time for them to learn about chocolate and also get their chocolate fix. They seemed to all enjoy both the lesson and the hot chocolate at the end.

工作坊的第一天再次提醒我一件事：很多時候，事情未必會按照我的計劃發展，但只要一切都在神的計劃之中，其他的事情就沒有那麼重要了。帶著這份提醒，我也更有信心迎接接下來幾天的工作坊。我希望能將今天所學到的經驗運用在之後的課程中，讓每一堂課都進行得更加順利，也更容易讓孩子們理解。
The first day of the workshops were definitely a reminder from God that sometimes things don’t work out the way I would want it to be but if it all works out in God’s plan, then nothing else matters as much. Keeping this in mind, going into the next couple of the days of workshops, I can utilize the way it worked out today to make the other classes go a little smoother and easier to understand.

雖然語言上的障礙有時確實是一項挑戰，但孩子們對我不太流利的中文始終充滿耐心，也十分體諒，這讓我感到非常感恩。願神繼續帶領接下來每一天的服事，使我學會放下自己的期待，更多信靠祂的帶領。
The language barrier is a little rough at times but the kids are very patient and understanding with my broken Chinese. May the Lord continue to lead me throughout the days of ministry ahead, helping me surrender my own expectations and place greater trust in His perfect guidance.
