The Myanmar short-term mission team has successfully completed our ten-day mission trip. At 4:15 a.m., the team gathered at the hotel, and by God’s grace, everyone arrived safely at the airport, completed check-in smoothly, and began the journey home.

Looking back over these ten days, I am deeply reminded of God’s abundant grace that surrounded us every step of the way. Although several team members became ill one after another during the trip, we thank God that their symptoms were only mild and did not disrupt the ministry. Throughout the journey, God’s protection and faithful care never left us. We are also deeply grateful to all the brothers and sisters who faithfully upheld the team in prayer. Your prayers strengthened both our team and every aspect of this mission.

This trip allowed me to witness God’s love flowing so beautifully among our team. We cared for one another, encouraged one another, and supported each other through moments of physical weakness. As we served together, each team member faithfully used the unique gifts and talents that God had given them. It was like watching a beautiful picture painted with love—a glimpse of what God’s family is meant to be.

This mission trip also gave me the joy of seeing the growth of the young people from our church. Watching them interact with the children at Silver Lining Family Village, I saw genuine love naturally expressed through their words and actions. Love was continually shared from one person to another, and witnessing this was truly a reason to give thanks to God.

This was my second visit to Myanmar, but this time I came as one of the team leaders. As a result, what God taught me was very different from my experience last year. In the past, my attention was naturally focused on the children because I knew they needed love and care. This time, however, God reminded me that the mothers and staff members at Silver Lining Family Village also need to be loved, encouraged, and supported.

Each of the mothers currently cares for seventeen or eighteen children every day. From early morning until late at night, they faithfully pour themselves out in quiet, sacrificial service. The demands they carry are enormous—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. They deeply need encouragement, companionship, and prayer. I thank God for giving me many opportunities to spend time with them, to listen to their stories, and to build relationships of trust through heartfelt conversations. It was a privilege to share God’s love with them in these simple yet meaningful moments.

People often say that the depth of a relationship is not measured by the amount of time spent together. Although we journeyed together for only ten days, our mission team developed deep and genuine friendships. We began as strangers, became friends, and eventually felt like family. When it came time to say goodbye, there were tears, gratitude, and a heartfelt reluctance to part.

I thank God for allowing us to experience such a grace-filled mission trip. Through serving others, we learned what it means to love, experienced God’s love in deeper ways, and had the privilege of sharing that love with others. I look forward to the day when we can once again answer God’s call to the mission field. May we continue to be vessels of His love, bringing the love of Christ to all who are in need.
