托起生命的雙手
The Hands That Lift

來到雲彩（Silver Lining）南寧的殘障兒童康復中心之前，我其實沒有抱著太高的期待，因為我曾到訪過位於緬甸仰光的伊甸中心（Eden Centre），同樣也是一所服務殘障兒童的機構。然而，這次的經歷卻帶給我完全不同的體會。
Going to the Nanning Silver Lining Ministry’s Rehabilitation Center, I didn’t have too much of an expectation since I previously went to the Eden Centre in Yangon Myanmar, which is also a center for Disabled Children. However, this time I had a completely new and different experience.

與其只是站在一旁觀看同工和媽媽們照顧孩子，我們這次有機會真正參與其中，透過團體運動、手工藝等活動，與孩子和家長互動。
Rather than simply watching and spectating the workers and moms with their children, our group was able to interact with them through various activities such as group exercises and teaching them arts and craft.  When doing the exercises with the children with cerebral palsy, we split off into individual groups with each child.

在陪伴腦癱孩子做復健運動時，我們每人負責協助一位孩子。我旁邊有一位媽媽耐心地教導我，示範如何幫助孩子完成每一個動作。一開始，看著她操作時，我以為並不困難；但輪到自己親身嘗試時，才發現遠比想像中艱難得多。
For me, I had another mom sit next to me to guide and teach me how I can help the child as they exercise. At first, seeing the mom help the child seemed as though it was easy. However when it was my turn to help, it was definitely harder than it looked like.

為了訓練孩子將來能夠自己站立，我們需要扶著他們站立一段相當長的時間。在這個過程中，由於孩子仍未能掌握應該使用哪些肌肉來支撐身體，他們會不自覺地彎曲膝蓋，想要坐下。因此，我和那位媽媽需要一直用力扶著孩子的膝蓋，幫助他們把雙腿伸直，同時還要用另一隻手扶穩身體，防止他們向不同方向傾倒。
To train the child’s leg to be able to stand on their own, we needed to have them stand for a fair amount of time. During this time, the child would unconsciously bend their knees to sit down as it takes time for them to know which muscles to use to stand up. The mom and I would have to press on the knees of the child and straighten their leg to keep them upright. This process requires a lot of strength to hold onto the child’s knees and also using another hand to keep their body from leaning towards another direction.

整個復健過程持續了大約四十五分鐘。結束時，我的手臂和背部早已感到十分疲累。如果只是協助四十五分鐘，我已經感到如此吃力，那麼那些每天長時間照顧孩子的媽媽和同工，又承受著多大的體力和精神負擔呢？我實在難以想像。
The exercise went on for about ~45 minutes. By the end, my arm and back were already tired. If I was already this worn out from 45 minutes of helping the child, I could not imagine how the moms and workers would be feeling after a whole day.

這次經歷讓我對雲彩的媽媽們和同工有了更深的敬佩和體會。他們需要付出極大的體力、耐心和愛心，才能陪伴每一位孩子一步一步走過漫長的復健路。同樣令我感動的，還有這些孩子們。他們為了能夠一天天進步，不斷培養自己的韌性和堅持。對我們而言，看似簡單的動作，對他們來說卻需要付出極大的努力，不單是身體上的挑戰，更是心理上的考驗。
This experience led me to have a greater appreciation and understanding of the moms and workers in SL. They need to have so much strength, patience, and love to help the children in rehabilitation. And not just them, but the children too. To get better, the child continues to build resilience and perseverance. To us, the exercise looks so easy, but for them, it requires so much work not only physically but mentally as well.

我深信，上帝正在透過雲彩的殘障兒童康復中心，在每一位同工、每一位媽媽，以及每一位孩子身上成就奇妙的工作。雖然他們每天都十分疲憊，但神仍然不斷賜下力量，供應他們每天所需要的一切，使他們能夠繼續前行。
I believe God is doing amazing works in Silver Lining’s Disability Centre through all the workers, moms and children. Even though they’re so tired, God continues to provide them with strength and what they need to live each day.

我也深深感受到神的愛流淌在他們每一個人身上。每當我們經過時，他們臉上流露出的純真笑容，都讓我看見神的愛與恩典。
I can also see God’s love flowing through every single one of them, through the sweet smiles that they give us as we walk by.

我非常感謝神，讓我有機會來到中國南寧，親身經歷並見證祂在這裡所成就的美好作為！
I’m thankful to God for letting me experience and witness His works here in Nanning, China!
